How to join a Zoom meeting

To join a Zoom video call, you can either use the meeting link provided by the host, or join via the Zoom app or website using the meeting ID and passcode (if required).

If using the meeting link, click it and follow prompts to join through the app or browser.

If using the ID, go to zoom.us/join, enter the ID, and follow the prompts. 

You can connect to a Zoom meeting using a computer, tablet or mobile device.

Attending a Zoom meeting at home

Detailed Steps:

1. Using the Meeting Link:

   
   

   1. Locate the link: Find the Zoom meeting link in your email invitation or message from the host. 

   2. Click the link: Clicking the link will usually open Zoom in your browser or prompt you to open the Zoom app. 

   3. Join using the app or browser: You may be prompted to either open the Zoom application or join via your browser. Choose the option that works best for you. 

   4. Allow camera and microphone access: If prompted, allow Zoom to access your computer's camera and microphone. 

   5. Enter your name: You may be asked to enter your name before joining the meeting. 

   6. Join the meeting: Click the "Join" button to enter the meeting. 

      
      

2. Joining via your web browser:

   
   

   1. Go to Zoom's website: Open your web browser and go to zoom.us/join. 

   2. Enter the meeting ID: Locate the meeting ID in the invitation and enter it in the designated field. 

   3. Click Join: Click the "Join" button. 

   4. Follow prompts: You may be prompted to open or download the Zoom app, or join from your browser. Choose your preferred option. 

   5. Launch meeting: To attend the meeting via your web browser, click the "Launch Meeting" button.

   6. Enter passcode (if required): If the meeting has a passcode, enter it when prompted. 

   7. Allow camera and microphone access: If prompted, allow Zoom to access your device's camera and microphone. 

   8. Join the meeting: Click the "Join" button. 
      

3. Joining via the Zoom app:

   
   

   1. Open the Zoom app: Launch the Zoom application on your computer or mobile device.

   2. Click "Join a Meeting": Click the appropriate button to join a meeting.

   3. Enter the meeting ID and passcode (if required): Input the meeting ID and passcode provided by the host.

   4. Join the meeting: Click the "Join" button.
